Fanned frets

I was wondering if anyone had built a uke with one of those wacky fanned fret necks, in the style of Novax guitars..

I doubt the multi-scale idea has any benefits for us, but I like the craziness of the looks..

David White does a lot of instruments with fanned frets. Has done a harp tenor uke with them and is documenting a baritone harp guitar on the ANZLF right now.

Rickenbacker used to make guitars with slanted frets, but not fanned. Supposed to make barre chords easier. This body shape (same as the bass) is way better than the semi acoustic. Thinks I.

Some of my first freehand efforts had frets something like that

..Now I cut the slots with a jig.
