I have played a Kiwaya and own a Flea. Both have superb action, nice and low and easy to fret.

The Kiways is expensive, and the Flea sort of moving into mid range depending on whether or not you have extra's included like rosewood fretboard etc.

I will assume here (unless someone says different) that all of the top end Uke's have very good action - low.
But can someone advice which makes of the mid price scale have the same or very near to it?

many thanks.

High-end expensive ukes don't necessarily all have great action. I've played a few $1000 ukes in stores in Hawaii that had action so high that it was nearly unplayable. I think the action on any particular uke really depends not only on how it was setup out of the factory, but also the ambient condition the uke has experienced. The neck may warp a little if it goes from a humid climate to a dry climate, etc. Any time I receive a uke by mail with nice low action, I consider myself lucky.
