I'm restringing my uke, and I ran into a problem.

These are Aquilas, and it's the first time I've used 'em, and...

Well, the strings aren't labeled, they just have different colored stickers on each plastic sleeve. orange green blue white.

Which one's which? I guess I could tell from thickness, but I'd like to have some reassurance...

!st String (A) = Red
2nd String (E) = Blue

You know, once you posted that, I found it.
They put a lot of extraneous writing on that little paper envelope.

Their packaging can be confusing... When I was trying to find the info, it was like something out of the bloody Da Vinci Code! :D

Glad to find this little "magic decoder ring" info on ukeuleleunderground.

It's confusing to me how string 1 is the not the highest pitched or lowest pitched ring in standard GCEA tuning, and string 1 is on the bottom when holding the uke for strumming.

And hey, lookie here, open another flap on the packaging and there's a legend explaining the fourth string is G. BRILLIANT! :)

I use Aquilas on my low g ukes and re-string them almost monthly. Just so I don't mix up the strings, I mark the color coded dots with a pen of what string it is, so I don't make any mistakes.
