Any suggestions on finding the best price on a Kamaka Tenor on either of these islands?

I got a quote from Kamaka for a HF-3 with 3A Koa Top/Back/Sides, and an ebony fretboard/bridge/headstock veneer. But it's just a tad out of my reach right now :(

How much did they quote you on that?

Check the Kamaka authorized dealers (http://kamakahawaii.com/findadealer.html) for availability and cost . . . you never know what may come up.

In Kauai, I'd try either Larry's Music in Kapa'a or Scotty's in Kalaheo -- Larry's first.

In Oahu, probably Hawaii Music Supply or see if MGM can get you one. They will have a ton of stock at Aloha Ukulele, Bob's and Puapua, but they will also have Waikiki prices as well.

If The Hawaiian Ukulele Company, at Aloha Tower Marketplace, has one in stock, you'll find their prices as good or better than anyone else.

Yeah, I'm going to be buying from Sam @ Larry's. He's been a huge help the past month or so. Putting up with all my questions, and finding a great looking HF-3 for me.

Just had to ask, I've never spent this much on an Uke, so wanted to make sure :)

I'll post photos when I get back! (March 16)
