Print me Up a Martin 5K Please

Hi Folks,

Rapid prototyping has been around a while. I first was exposed to it in about '89.
Certainly not an end all, but it's widly accepted industrially. The most bisarre thing
we "printed" was a human skull with a tumor, took the information from an MRI, next
day the model was in the hands of a surgeon for review so he could form his procedure.
All kinds of neat stuff

Cheers.

Jay Leno' Garage had a piece about something similar several years ago. At the time I think it was 10K for the scanner and printer that would make 3D models. He used it to fabricate parts for his antique cars or at least the models for the eventual parts. Really fantastic tech!

Technology just amazes me. We are advanceing so rapidly that its scary.
