Hello all,
I have an old mahalo ukulele neck, and a hand drum, with which i hope to make a banjolele. Only trouble is, I am not sure what glue/adhesive to use to attach the wooden hand drum body to the neck. Any help appreciated :).

Most banjo ukes necks are connected by mechanical methods..screws, bolts, wedges etc:

Here are pictures of one I made.

The neck is attached via a threaded rod which goes all the way through the drum - nuts and washers to keep it tight.

You can't just bolt your Mahalo neck on because it is too short, so the bridge will not be near the middle of the drum. If you look at my neck you'll see that I have 16 frets and the neck joins the drum above that. Assume your bridge is in the middle of the drum, measure the scale length (13.5 inches) and that tells you where your nut must be. There will be a gap between the heel of your neck and the drum, so you need to extend the neck to fill the gap.
