Changing Applause battery

I just got my Applause uke (in trade for the Eleuke) and it had no manual. Can someone please tell me where the battery is and how to change it?

What sort of battery does it use? Standard 9V?

Never mind. Got it figured out. What a nightmare!

Ah, try doing it when you're wearing a fat, unbending finger splint on your left hand... it's a nightmare. Had to remove the splint to get my hand inside (it's not that small a hole, but the space inside is limited and full of wires). A lot of the cursing came from the twinges in my damaged finger...
