I bought one from Aaron...it's awesome...the sound is dirty and growly and great! I just have to figure out how to properly hold it...the tin can is quite a bit deeper than the bodies on my other ukes.

I picked up the Tin Can Uke. Really excited to get it and noodle around on it!

yeah, the tin can ukes are a challenge to hold. i usually play them sitting down.

James Hill has a concert Beansprout, one of the first 10! (I'm up to 85 now)

Loving it so far! It's buzzy and twangy and fabulous...just as described. I haven't had a change to try the pickup in it yet...hopefully soon. I have found that I definitely have to play sitting down, and then I can park the can in my lap. Curious: is it made with a tenor scale neck? I haven't really messed around on tenors so I wasn't sure. Also, when it comes time to replace strings, are there a particular type/lengths that it requires?

Also, you can stop some of the buzzing with a small piece of tape on the bridge! I used Worth strings, which are extra long. It is a concert scale, fyi.

Dang it! I was so disappointed. Hope you enjoy, how about a sound sample :)
