Well friends, it's a snow day here in Portland, so I have it off. I changed out the Aquilas on my KTS4 to Martins (no buzz afterwards, BTW) and found a really good bridge knot you may not know about:

Nice big illustration with black rope for a spatially challenged guy like me--and I STILL needed the bride's help to decipher it!
 
Thanks for the link Thom. I like to tie my strings off at the bridge so that the left over cut off faces down towards the bottom of the uke, not upwards as shown in that photo. I find they are less likely to catch on your sleeves while playing that way. You simply reverse the direction that you loop the string to achieve this. I believe over instead of under.
 
Thanks for the link. I've been timid about changing strings, but one of these days ....

Apparently that snow you're having is headed, as snow, for the San Francisco Bay Area.
