I got a new ukulele, a cigar box from a member of the 1st German Ukulele Club, Hans Thüring.
Mine is the tenth ukulele he ever made.

I recorded one song so far, and I recorded the audio part twice at the same time, once with the mic of my Zoom H2, and once with the build-in pickup.
The song is "Seasons In The Sun": Acoustic version (http://vimeo.com/1364622) / Electric version (http://vimeo.com/1364625)

I like the custom headstock label.

The sound hole is awesome.

Very cool. It has a great sound, and the fact that the cigar box actually opens  Thanks for sharing.

Nice ceegar box uke WS. I prefer the sound of it acoustically vs. with the pickup. Congrats on the new addition.

That soundhole is incredible. Nice detail on the knobs too. Enjoy your new uke!

And one more recording with the new uke, audio only, recorded with the pickup, not a mic:

That's one of the nicest cigar box uke's I've ever seen. In fact, if there was a kit for that style, I would buy it.

I just got a cigar box ukulele made by Tom in Traverse City, MI...His website is: http://cigarboxukes.com/ ...I restrung it with Aquilas and I am pretty pleased...Got the concert size with pick up...Now I have 2 questions: 1) where do I get a hard case for this baby? 2) I don;t own an amplifier, which one should I buy ? (need small one with good sound and not very expensive)

Thanks guys.
