baritone worth cbs on a mainland tenor

I'm going for it tomorrow. I toyed with getting the aquila tenor strings dgbe but it has a wound string that I really do not want. I spoke to southern ukulele store in the UK about my dilemma he suggested worth clear baritone strings but string the ebg on strings 1,2,3 respectivelythen use the double length of the e string to be string 4 as a high d he said he had tried this to good effect I hope it works
 
Well, the first and fourth strings are usually pretty close in diameter. My only thought is that since the baritone is a longer scale (and thus higher tension), there might not be enough tension on the tenor.

I certainly will if it fails ill have to get the aquila dgbe but fingers crossed
