Anyone know if there is a place you can buy this album in digital format? Been wanting to get it but at $40-60, I can't get over that mental hurdle to buy it.

Or has anyone heard if it'll be released in the USA?

I performed a Google search ("Jake Shimabukuro Across The Universe") that turned up links to some websites that purport to share Across The Universe CD .mp3 files. I don't know anything about these websites, like whether they work or are even legal. I'm specifically not encouraging anyone to do anything illegal or improper, but since anyone could have found these links by searching on Google, I'll post a few of the links I found:

Again, I make no representations that these sites are legal or safe.

yeah I saw those too.

Guess I'll have to wait a bit, and if nothing gets released in the US I'll have to buy the import.

I might still have the CD somewhere. Want it for $25 if I can find it?

Cool. If I still have it, it'd on my desk buried under stuff. I'll look this weekend.

The first batch of the CD (Japanese version) comes with a bonus DVD, where it showcases Jake playing Gently Weeps & Something. I'm trying to learn the songs from it as the camera work is so good!

for those of you who have watched this video. does he do a tutorial on any song like he did "yesterday" in a past video dvd? just wondering.

No, Jake just sat & played the 2 songs without a word. But the good thing is there are different camera angles showing his finger works. I think its recorded at studio. So, I just play back the DVD in slow motion, trying to catch the notes & strum pattern, etc.

Any way you can make a copy of him playing Something and send it to me? I'd love to see a good video of him playing it :)
