Uke siting at Banjo Hangout - A. Dias!

Wow, a rare uke indeed! Thanks for posting this. It is hard even to find pictures of a Dias ukulele!

I am guessing the carved word "ALOHA" and the vines were added, which to me is kind of sad given how rare this uke is. They appear to be carved into the wood....

I have read that Dias did do some vine inlay at the base but it doesn't look like an inlay, and the "ALOHA" is kind of touristy. I have seen a couple ukulele's on eBay that had intricate carvings that were said to have been done by locals, but who knows.
