Uke/Guitar Strumming

So... I'm a guitarist of about threeish years and have been a uker of about two and a halfish weeks. I've fallen in love with that little thing....

I've been playing some ragtime songs on the uke and I really love the difference between strumming the guitar and the uke. Some might say that there isn't a difference... but to me there is... maybe it's the steel strings vs the nylon... not sure cuz I can't quite put my finger on it... but I picked up my guitar today (because I don't want it languishing) and I used NO pick but find my guitar is so much easier to play/strum. I think that picking up the uke has helped my strumming- especially my rhythm.

Has anyone else noticed this or am I cuh-ray-zee???

You are not alone...I felt after picking up the ukulele, my strumming did improve...but switching from guitar to ukulele right after is an adjustment for me...as the guitar is so rich and warm....
