Both my National reso and the Tiki Flea were second hand. There was no discernible wear on either of them.

Mind you, I bought neither of them from eBay. Both came from online friends, the former from an ad in the FMM site's Marketplace section and the latter from a direct offer to me. Nevertheless, the only difference between the "used" ones I bought and the same ones new was the lower prices.

Caveat emptor, for sure, but with a little care you can do well in the secondhand market.

I mean, you're not going to get a 1920's or 30's Martin new, are ya?
