SOLD SOLD SOLD
FOR SALE: A vintage, mahogany Favilla soprano. A famous New York shop, Favilla produced ukes from the 40s to the 60s. I believe this is a c. late 50s-60s model. It has no cracks of any kind. The action is low. It is strung with Aquila concerts. It has a sweet, vintage mahogany sound--you can't buy this wood anymore!
Faults: There are some marks on the fretboard, which also appears to be mahogany (?) A ding on the back and some scratches here and there. But the instrument is charming and in VF condition!
It comes in a soprano hardshell Guardian case. It seems to fit the case well with no awkwardness in terms of the neck.

$275 Shipped CONUS
Compare this to the models out there with cracks and without repairs selling for $250 +. This uke has no major issues, only cosmetic blems that are within the realm of normal for the age.
WHY AM I SELLING? I'm continuing with my new policy of fewer ukes, and the highest quality. While I think this is a WONDERFUL, HIGH QUALITY INSTRUMENT I already have a Martin and a Gibson, both vintage, a Kiwaya KTS4, and some Ohana's! I have all the mahogany I need. On to KOA!
Thanks for looking!
