Pulled the trigger and purchased a Morgan Monroe banjolele and a Mainland Classic Mahogany Tenor. After playing a Lanakai Concert Spruce Top and a Lanakai soprano whatever, I decided that yes, I was in love with the uke and needed to step it up a bit.

Haven't made the transition to the higher priced ones yet, but time will tell.

From all the good things I've heard about Mainland I'm sure you'll love it!

I also pulled the trigger on the one I've been saving for - a Tanglewood Union TU1 CE, Acoustic/Electric Soprano with amp, hard case and free lead and aquila's for free with free set-up too! Hopefully, it'll be here before the weekend, if not, Monday!

Hope you enjoy your new Uke! And welcome to UU, I see you're a new member :D

Thanks for the welcome. I've actually been a member since 2008 but I've rarely posted.

Vinny Gambini: It is possible that the two ukes...
Judge Chamberlain Haller: ...Ah, the two what? Uh... uh, what was that word?
Vinny Gambini: Uh... what word?
Judge Chamberlain Haller: Two what?
Vinny Gambini: What?
Judge Chamberlain Haller: Uh... did you say 'ukes'?
Vinny Gambini: Yeah, two ukes.
Judge Chamberlain Haller: What is a uke?
[beat]
Vinny Gambini: Oh, excuse me, your honor...
[exaggerated]
Vinny Gambini: Two UKULELES.

LOL!! I love that movie! He gives me my inspiration for my mock trial attorney roles ;) "Your honor, ladies and gentlemen of the jury... Every that guy just said was bull****. Thank you." "Objection. Counsel's entire opening statement is argumentative." "Sustained. Counselors entire opening statement, witht eh exception of the words 'thank you', will be stricken from the record"

To stay on topic, congrats!! POST PICS!
