Ko'olau select koa - is this laminate

Ko'olau ukes are solid woods. That Model 1 looks like a great deal for the price.

G'day 6String,
If it is any help - a "select grade wood" in my area refers to the quality of the wood itself - you would use select grade woods for fine furniture for instance - it is free of gum and borer markings - in no way referring to a laminate - now what the good people of Ko'alau mean I dunno :D but looking at the pictures (which are useless in telling) and price - I suspect (hope!) NOT a laminate!

Aloha 6stringconvert,
For that price...a little more you can get a Kamaka....need I say more....Good Luck and Happy Strummings...MM Stan

I have a Ko'olau S-1 (soprano). It's solid koa, and doesn't look nearly as good as the one pictured in your link. I think all the Ko'olau ukes are solid wood. You might write to them.
