upgraded KoAloha friction tuners, strung with new Worth CT. Light and well balanced, low action. Sounds richer than with Aquilas (but C string intonation is out if you first fret too hard) Nice embroidered, fitted case. No marks. £85 plus post at cost.
Trimming flock for a big purchase - and another older soprano fits the 'travel' bill...

I had two sets - one with the KoAloha logos on and one without - so have used the non logo'd ones on here. They are nylon sleeved, and the original headstock holes have been properly plugged with bamboo (for lightness) and redrilled. (Just refitting some friction tuners into the original holes looks deceptively simple but doesn't actually give much strength where the amount of wood they are gripping onto isnt actually that large)

I don't understand this. Would you mind explaining what you mean for those of us who are fans of friction tuners?

The original holes are countersunk from the back and there is about 1.5-2mm thickness left on the upper side of a narrower diameter - leaving a flange around. The KoAloha friction tuners fitted nicely and fastened down so that they worked, but they were gripping on very little "edge" on the underside... and pushing on the very thin area from the top.. which wouldn't be good longer term - both areas might wear. So if the friction tuners aren't an exact fit, better to dowel the original hole and redrill so that they properly compress onto real wood.
