Howdy all,
I purchased a number of various strings to try out on my tenor ukulele.
Question about the Savarez alliance 540J set. They are packaged as classical guitar strings as I understand. Which strings are to be used for which notes.
I tune standard AECG, with a high G.

Thanks for any responses.

The blue card is a High Tension set, and you'll use the first 4 strings as a direct swap for Low g tuning.

There are different ways to make a high G set, two of which have to do with getting extra strings.
Take a high tension #1 string, and slack it for the #4 high G.
Take a normal tension #2 string, and tune it up for the #4 high G.

I would do the first example and match it with a normal tension set. The second example I would do for a high tension set. Either way, its up to you, but you'll have to get an extra string. You won't use the #5 and #6, unless you have a KoAloha D-VI.

Personally, I'm a Low g guy, so its a direct swap. Well, not really, I usually order individual strings in both tensions, especially since I have a 6-string lying around that I make sets for.

Hope this helps. Aaron
