Huzzah! I bought some Aquila strings the other day and they arrived this morn. I mustered up as much courage as a could, then set to work!

I was worried I would damage my beloved pineapple, but the operation was a success and now it sounds fuller and better than ever.

Thank you UU for leading me from the purchase of my ukulele to this fateful coming of age moment.

That's awesome! i would have been very scared if i was you as well. I'd ordered a set of Aquilas for my friends Makala concert and should be changing out her strings soon. which me luck!

I love changing my strings...They are relatively cheap so you can try out a few different types without breaking the bank. I've had GHS, Kala Reds, Aquillas, and Martins on before and I have a set of Blacklines on deck. So far, my favorite is the Aquilla strings.
