View Full Version : Uke exercises and warm-ups?

Does anyone have suggestions for exercises I can do everyday to improve my playing?

I've got most of the common chords down and I'm working on finger picking, and I was wondering what other players do to work on their skills.

Watch the "Uke Minutes" videos here on UU and some of the "Ukulele Quick Tips" on iamhawaii.com. There are some great "exercises" to practice and warm up with on there. :D

I'm working on Flight of the Bumblebees. I think it's a great way to learn the fretboard and it's as challenging as you want to make it. It's supposed to go superfast, but the challenge for me is just learning the finger placement. It has also helped me learn to alternate between my index and middle fingers fpr picking. It's a workout.

I like these two:

There's some other good ones on Youtube (mostly for guitar, but it doesn't matter). Just do a search for "guitar finger exercise." They'll really help with your left hand technique.
