View Full Version : (Another) Kala Travel Soprano for sale!

Hello UU. I am going to regret selling this, and probably shouldn't, but I think I need an eleuke for "quiet" practice time now that I have a 12 week old son. Selling this would help fund one and I really need to employ the one out - one in philosophy. So here we go.

It's the mahogany model that I have upgraded the tuners using deluxe friction tuners from Mainland. It's an awesome upgrade that balances the uke out beautifully. Included is the gig bag that comes with the uke. It was recently outfitted with Worth browns. There is a small ding on the side of the upper bout that I attempted to capture but the pic wouldn't load for some reason. I'll try to get a shot later. I took these pics with my phone yesterday to send to another UU member, so sorry for the poor quality and I didn't take one with the date and my name. If required by anyone interested, I'll try to grab a quick moment to update. I'm asking $125 (paypal) to ship it to anyone in the continental US of A.

Is this a THIN one?

Nice job on the upgrade, Jeff. How did you fill the screw holes?

As Thom said, beautiful job on the conversion. Great price too.

I'm trying to add a pic of the ding. It's quite minor and this pic is extremely close. But I think the file is too big. I may need to take a shot from farther away.

Thanks Thom and Sweets. I filled the holes using a Minwax Blend Fil Pencil. Matched up nicely.

And yes, perep, this is a thin one. In it's gig bag it fits nicely in a backpack and is perfect for travel.

Hey didgeridoo2,

This conversion looks spot on.

I'm going to swap out the tuners on the Ohana sk30L you sold me with the same tuners from Mainland. Enjoying the longneck very much. That Kala really looks nice, good luck with the sale.

Glad you're enjoying the long neck, stu. These mainland tuners are nice tuners. Very smooth. Good luck with your conversion.

I think I'll switch out these tuners on my SK38. It would be cool to get the mother of pearl ones. You're an inspiration, Jeff!
