I've been playin my cheap concert makala for close to a year now and am ready to buy a better ukulele. I've looked at Guitar Center and Sam Ash but they just seem to have a few starter-level ukuleles. I'm wondering if anyone knows of a store in Eastern Pennsylvania, New Jersey or New York that has some upper-level ukuleles I could try out/buy. I appreciate any responses, thanks!

P.S.: did anyone see butler upset pitt? that was crazy!!!

You might give Mandolin Bros. a ring over in Staten Island, NY.
and check their website out. They're a Kamaka dealer, but sell em
pretty quick, I see others there too. Up in Jim Thorpe there is a ukulele institute
can't tell you anything about it though, may be worth it, same deal,
ring em up, check website.

Best of luck on the quest.

Cheers.

Yeah, I think Mandolin Brothers also carries a few Flukes and Fleas - and a while back they had a really nice ca 1930's Martin in nice shape.

I know the owner of the Ukulele Institute in Jim Thorpe. Nice shop, but if you're looking for a K brand it's not the shop to visit. He is a Kala dealer.

He also stocks very nice locally made concert ukes.

Fretz Music Center in Souderton, PA sells Marrtins. Good luck.
