I am interested in purchasing my first ukulele but I have absolutely no idea which one to get. I want to spend less than $300. Here are three models I looked at that musicguymic is selling. For my first ukulele, should I get a concert or tenor?
Any help is appreciated. Thanks

These are just three I were looking at. Which one would you choose or could you even recommend me a better one out there.

Aloha and Welcome New2uke22 to UU!

Speaking for myself (and only myself) of the 3 links you posted I would pick the Kala Concert Koa with solid cedar top --

Here's why:

1.) Size. I prefer the concert size for myself (this is why I say I'm speaking for myself only because many others prefer the tenor size).

2.) Solid Wood. The solid cedar top will sound much better with more sustain than a laminate uke.

3.) I happen to prefer the richer grain and warmer sound of Koa.

Again, I am choosing this by my own preferences. Good luck with your decision. I'm sure you'll enjoy whichever one you decide to purchase this time. I say "this time" because once the UAS kicks in you may end up getting one of the others next time! :D

from my personal professional ukulele learner oppinion, I would start out with something in the $100 and under range (sorry MGM, I don't mean to blow a sale). That way, should you find that you are not really meant for uke, you didn't lose out on a lot of money. Also, should you find that you are really into it, it's great to have multiple ukes for tuning, travelling, learing, comparing, and so on. Plus, UAS will be hitting you shortly, and you'd really want to be able to do some upgrading.

Deach...that uke is sexy sexy!

I just picked up this uke for my 11yo son today. I live here so I am able to go directly to MGM and get the instrument. The action is very low, very easy to play and has nice volume. Go for it. You can't go wrong.
