can anyone recommend a uke strap. i have a kala soprano uke.

Absolutely - go with a Uke Leash at http://ukeleash.com/. I have six of them, four leather and two poly. You can use these straps immediately with no strap button, but I eventually put a button on all my ukes - much better control.

The Uke Leash has a strap button adapter accessory, so you can use it for all your ukes. It converts it from a half strap to a full strap.
