View Full Version : scales for uke with low G?

I found a great site that lists in pdf notation and tab a lot of scales but they seem to be for the typical high G string setup. I have switched to a low G and want to work on scales that will take advantage of my low G string. Anyone know of any resources?

The books by Herb Ohta Jr. and Daniel Ho are great. Exploring the 'Ukulele and Discovering the 'Ukulele.

They have mp3's on their websites too - they are a big help!

The "C" on your uke is middle C. When you use a low G you have 5 notes below (B,Bb/A#,A,Ab/G#,G).
Frets 4,3,2,1, open string.
You should be able to figure out the scale notes.
