Was playing at a Spring Festival today. One of the bands was playing a Ukulele looking instrument. What do you think it was????

Here are some other pics we took: country - ukes (us) - new wave country - bluegrass - Gospel - classic rock and Brazillian Salsa. Strange combo but it sounded great.

Kind of hard to tell from the video - kind of looked and sounded like it might be a guitarlele, though.

Couldn't tell how many strings, though. Could be any one of several uke-like South American instruments.

Looked too small for a guitarlele to me. Charango or something, maybe?

The Brazilian song and the Cuica certainly points towards a cavaquinho.

I spoke to the player and he said it was a cavaquinho. He said it was tuned DABD for salsa Music with the second D being an octive higher than the first D.
