First time that I've bothered gathering them...

The Kamakas. A little soprano is away at school in Hawai'i.

The KoAlohas. A concert is also away at school in Hawai'i.

I am impressed with the KoAloha family tree! I have the concert sceptre myself. I see would love to get a Pineapple. Is the "rounder" one considered a pineapple too? Beautiful collection.

I see I'm not the only one here whose Kamaka family features a set of twins :) Twins that have a little soprano sibling even!

Wow. Now I don't feel so bad for desiring a KoAloha Super Concert so soon after I got my Kamaka tenor! Thanks for the post and the motivation! They are all awesome.

Wow. Just Wow!

Oh! I do have a question: Do you play them all regularly?

Actually, I just got the 2nd KoAloha and Kamaka tenors within the past three days. I'll probably be letting one of the HF-3s go to a forum member who had expressed interest. I'm going to hold onto the KoAloha to see if any interesting trades come up.

Of the other ukes, I play most of the tenors regularly. I have the PS tuned down 1/2 a step for certain songs. The Sceptre is the easiest player since it was professionally set up but I play it the least since I tend to leave my ukes out on hangers and don't want anyone dinging them up. The cleaning crew dinged the Liliu so I always put the ukes away before they come over now. The Leolani stays next to my desk so if I bang it I don't care. I was using the Pono for low g playing but have been using the MB for about 75% of my playing. Its set up perfectly, sounds awesome and is easy on the eyes. (I hope Chuck doesn't see this or he'll think I'm going soft on him.)

The soprano and long neck pineapple don't get played but I'm always amazed at how great they sound when I do pull them out on those rare occasions.

I also hardly play the KoAloha super concert. I pretty much just got that because it had a crown bridge. I did just sell a Liliu, Kanile'a K1, Kamaka HF2 and a Kala travel soprano in the last month or so and that's how I justified picking up the 2nd crown tenor and HF3. If I get a second MB then the inventory will be reduced significantly.

As for wife approval, I pulled them all out when no one was home and put them all back before anyone got home! I actually forgot about two of them but remembered just before I took the photo.

Then I read this.:(

LOL! No. but its way cheaper than collecting photo gear or Rolexes! (Don't ask me how I know.)

If you think I'm bad, check out George's collection.
