We'll be there, and add a few more days for site seeing. Any tips on good (and not too expensive) places to eat near the Ailey Theater? We will probably only have time for breakfast and dinner on the festival days. Food is key to keeping my husband happy during the Uke Fest Vendor Booth trips. We will be staying nearby.

Lori -

9th Avenue is the oasis of moderately priced food in mid-town. You'll find every cuisine from every ethnicity and the price tends to be very good for NYC. Consult the midtown food bible, Midtown Lunch: http://midtownlunch.com/ Most placed profiled here, except the exceptionally good and inexpensive food carts - are also open for dinner. Really, I have too many favorites to give you recommendations, but Hallo Berlin on 9th and 51st is a great little German place and they have a beer garden on 10th. There are Turkish, Greek, Italian, Mexican, French and diners that I go to on a daily basis. All really good.
