I'm not really a Piazolla fan, Undoubtedly he has done a lot for the Tango, but I prefer the traditional Tangos, Valses and Milongas.

"Adios Nonino" is one of his pieces, I like . and here's my ukulele version.

The beginning of the slow main theme was quite easy to nail down - the rest was really hard work.

Pretty impressive finger work. Did you work it out by ear, or did you start with a written arrangement?

Thanks very much, mates :)

Doug, I used a lead sheet as a base.

Some years ago I took an attempt on learning the Bandoneon (on which I failed). That time I bought some books by various argentine players/teachers; amongst them was a kind of Real Book of Tango.

I pretty much accurately used the melody from the lead sheet (transposed up 1 whole note) and took the chords as a rough guide to experimentally work out ukulele voicing to mimic the chord progression movements.

Sounds like some heavy work - and it was ;) But it also was a lot of fun and I'm really proud of the result
