If you're talking about the way the link itself looks (and not the website it takes you to) then I can explain. The user has chosen to use bitly (http://bit.ly/) to shorten the url. It is a fairly common service for people to use (especially on twitter where characters are limited). I know the links look unusual, but they are really just redirection urls that can be used when the original url is longer than you'd like. I've checked the link and it just takes you to the personal blog post of this user.
