Question for the builders. I finished 1 Soprano kit and 1 Tenor kit. I had frets leveled and nut and saddle adjusted. For both, I have the 12th set at .100. However, I get a buzz for the C/E strings at the 1st-2nd frets. I am comfortable with .100 and set it there but tested it at .115 and still a buzz. Curious if its the Stew Mac kits that can't go low as the instructions recommended a higher action than what I want. Any advice?

Don't know much about the StewMac kits, only tried one once. Fret buzz on the other hand, I have some experience with.
.115 seems really high to still be buzzing. Here's a link that has been helpful to me while chasing fret buzz...

http://frets.com/FRETSPages/Luthier/Technique/Setup/BuzzDiagnosis/buzzintro.html

And another one here... http://www.ukuleleunderground.com/f...uzzing-on-String-Instruments-Causes-and-Cures

Keep at it and there's a good chance you can get rid of that buzz and get a nice low action.

Thanks for reference of frets.com as pictures are good to diagnose. I seen that the website referenced "Standard" height, but couldn't find what standard is supposed to be. And also the measurements they give are alot higher than what I would be comfortable with. For example, it says low action is 3/32 at the first but that is just too high.
