I know that Aaron Keim has posted steps of how he made a tin can ukulele. I have a candidate that I would love to make into one. This is a stupid question, though. How does the can stay in the hole and what depth of can works? One can lid is removed and that part is inside the uke...yes?

Do you mean the uke he converted with the tin can inserted in the body? I love the sound of that one. You should ask him how he built it. I think he has his email link on the youtube page.
I can think of a few ways to do something similar, but I don't know what type of can he used or the details of what's inside
