Hello all,
I have not posted for a while, so far only posted in the uke forums. My UAS has been on hold for a while......now I have GAS !!

I have been a guitar player for oh, some 30+ years now. I have owned many over the years and slowly sold, traded etc.. most of 'em ....
Had my last good guitar ( '91 Gibson Hummingbird ) stolen a few years back :(

Got seriously into ukes just over a year ago and quite frankly had kind ignored my 2 guitars ( an old Fender beater/campfire acoustic and a Gibson Les Paul that I like to 'rock out' on every once in a while :)

I recently picked up my old acoustic guitar, I play uke so often now the guitar felt huge and foreign too me and that kinda made me sad :(
I vowed to play more often.......and I did....now I wanted more... I been shoppin' :)

Here are a few recent aquistions via CL and ebay......

A 1980 Fender FJ70 Tobacco Sunburst, solid Sitka Spruce top ( absolutely stunning mint condition )

A 1972 Yamaki No. 115 , MIJ Solid Cedar top ( kinda beaten up, was in the California heat for too long and had dried out quite a bit, no cracks, but the top is a bit wavey. Fantastic tone and plays great. Sorry no pics, it is currently at the luthier being 're-humidified' and assessed.

A 70's ?? Regent . MIJ, Solid Spruce top. ( I got this one for next to nothing , plays great, sounds ok, I know nothin about it ).

A 1974/75 Yamaki No. 135 ( a Martin D35 clone ), MIJ solid Spruce top ( mint condition, seriously like brand new, not a mark on it, I love this guitar, the tone has a dreamy lush vibrato )

pics to follow.....

Does anyone have any info or insight at all on these guitars?
The Fender sounds amazing....I know Fender aren't quite known for their acoustics but hey this one is mighty fun to play... has a great 'Jumbo' tone.....

I'd never heard of Yamaki before....until I heard one.......wow!!

Hey Bobby

I recently acquired a Fender FJ70 Jumbo to complete my F series collection. The serial no: on mine is F 7823869,what's your serial number. Just for fun I was wondering how far apart we are on the production run!
