I'm a little late with this report but... last month I got an invitation to a Spring party on April 2, which asked invitees to bring "something about Spring to share". Two days before the party it occurred to me it was nearly the perfect date for a performance of Peter Berryman's song "April May".

A year and a half after buying my first uke my skills are still ridiculously rudimentary, but I looked in my Berrymans song book and found "April May" calls for only four easy chords, in a key I can sing in. Actually I threw in a fifth chord; I thought it needed a C7 before the F. So I managed to more or less learn it for the party and it went over pretty well.

I didn't tell them they were being exposed to my first ever solo uke-and-singing performance.

Anyway, good song for this time of year and works well on the uke.

Aloha Dctroid,
Congrats on your first preformance....sounds nice and love the accordian.....there are a few accordian/ uke players here too....Thanks for sharing..MM Stan

Good choice!

Lou and Peter's songs work very well with the Ukulele!

In the current economic climate, "The Family Car" is another good one.
