I have been learning the fiddle for the past year or so but have recently been submerged in the Ukulele world while looking for one for my father.

I really don't know much about Uke music, does anyone know of fiddlers and uke players playing together?

We've jammed with a fiddle player a handful of times and had a blast!

Bosko and Honey use a violin in some of their music. But Bosko switches between his uke and the violin. I think it's a great combination, but in my opinion you can pretty much combine any two musical instruments and make something cool out of it. :)

Sara Watkins from Nickel Creek plays both the fiddle and the uke but I don't know of any fiddle and uke combinations. That'd be pretty cool to hear though.

Yo have to check out Lil Rev...he is one of the best ukulele teachers on the mainland and is a big-time old timey musician. Just googe 'Lil Rev (Reverend Little). He teaches at workshops and music camps all summer. Another gang to check out is the "Boulder Acoustic Society" for all the same reasons.
