Anyone here tune you tenors DGBE (or dGBE)? Or anything other than G/gCEA?

If so, what strings do you use and how is the sound? String tension?

I keep a tenor tuned DGBE, I use Aquila strings.
While most of the time I play a "C" tuned uke, having a uke tuned in "G" gives me the ability to play in a few keys and not change finger shapes.
The string tension is fine, but a little less than "C".
The DGBE Aquila strings are sometimes a challenge to find. I have not tried a low "D", but one of my good playing friends plays dGBE on her tenor.

Aquila makes DGBE sets for Tenor Ukes. I got mine from www.juststrings.com They're listed as "Guitar Tuning" sets.

My husband's ukuleles are dGBE-tuned tenors. Here is what I usually order for him:
Aquila Tenor (guitar-tuning)
Worth Brown (mix LG/Strong sets)
Worth Clears (LG, use C for B & D)

His favorite strings (and mine): Guadalupe Custom Strings Fibre Cores. They are sublime.

I'm responsible for keeping him stocked with strings. Aquila makes them,
