SOLD!
Hey folks I hate to sell this uke but my wife was asking "just how many ukes do you have?". So, that means too many. Some have to go.

Pic and additional info: http://www.fleamarketmusic.com/marketplace/default.asp

This uke (WS #149) is a standard figure-8 soprano, body is made entirely of beautifully figured koa (top, back sides, neck, fret board, and bridge are all solid koa). Nut and compensated saddle are both ebony. Grover geared tuners. Book matched top and back. 13 1/2" scale, 15 frets (soprano). This beautiful, hand-made ukulele is in “as good as new” condition with new Aquila strings on it.

Perfect intonation! Here is a recent sound sample http://chirb.it/xNq0Lk

Hi:

I'm thinking about buying a Boat Paddle Concert but probably not until Christmas so I can justify it with the wife. I note you have quite a variety including a Boat Paddle. How would you rate it as compared to some of your other fine instruments.

Best, Ty Moyer

Is Dave making any ukes these days. No evidence of that on his website. What do you consider his best work?

Dave at Waverly Street is still making ukuleles. He just doesn't have anything to offer right now. You can call him and discuss building an instrument.

I have Waverly Street #93, a spalted maple soprano that is loud and bright, an amazing instrument, and #149, the koa soprano in this thread, another wonderful instrument.

His instruments are carefully thought out with several design inclusions that make for a superior instrument and are very well made, all solid woods. They play easily and sound great.
