Recently I watched one of Theresa Arnold's (agrlfmtx) videos where about halfway through her song a freight train rumbled through, its horns blaring pretty much in tune with the song. She didn't miss a beat and finished the number just relishing the moment. Here's a link if you want to check it out:

Something similar happened while I was recording my latest original, although not nearly so dramatic. I didn't really realize it until I viewed the take about a half hour after recording. The neighborhood birds often chime in while I record in my backyard, and I like the effect, but this time, I swear it seemed like they knew they were riffing along with me. And then my cat, who was the subject matter of the song, chimed in halfway through, and then again, with almost perfect timing just as the song ended. Here's the link:

Anyway, I thought others must have had these kind of "accidents" that rather than being bloopers, actually enhance the song, and it would be fun to get a little collection of them. Got any good ones?

Great video there- the cat hit it at just the right times...Nice tribute to a furry friend.
I got one of those. Has woken me up every night for the last 18 years, but as he is getting pretty old now, I am sure I will miss him when he isn't doing it anymore

Well, how about some bloopers, then?

I'll start it with this one from Ken, where he was interrupted by the stilt runner. Those things are kind of cool, and the look on his face just says it all.

While recording in the downstairs bathroom, somebody upstairs flushed the toilet. It's comes across pretty subtle on the recording but I definitely heard it loud and clear. It's around 2:35.

A lot of times I have brought my computer with me to places to film a song- a car, a park. a river, etc. Weird things happen. This was a pretty cool lighting effect that occurred when my sister and I were recording a song about our grandpa in his old truck. We parked the car in a shopping center parking lot and after practicing a coupla times, the windows fogged. The headlights of passing cars in the parking lot gave this video an ethereal quality we hadn't expected.

Those are both great videos and love how professional you are, you just continue! I type this with a cat on my shoulder who thinks she's a parrot!
