This is killing me lol. My hands are small ish, and I mainly play my concert uke as the others are mahala's and just don't have the comparable tone.

I just cannot get my pinky to a) reach the G string and b) to move when I tell it to lol.

It's something I have only just really started to do having occasionally used the palm mute / light chunk as an alternative, but I'm acutely aware it is something I should learn.

Any hints, tips other than just practice ?

We just learned this in UUU.. I still can't do it well.. but something we learned that helped was when doing a chord like "G" is to use your thumb on the G string to help out..

I am still just practicing this.. It's not that easy, to me.. good luck!

Aloha Miarosie,
I have short stubby fingers...and have a hard time extending my pinky all the way to the Gstring, when I'm in the G chord......I'm lucky mine reaches to the C string..

Ive always muted with my palmm of my picking hand. any one have tips on when it is more adventageous to use one over the other? If you have a chord where you use you pinky to fret in the song?
