It's a Franken-maka!! Lots of evidence of multiple substitutions & "repairs"... but hardly worth the title of "Kamaka style". Got to love the 'bay ...

Yeah, they had that on eBay claiming it is a Kamaka a few weeks ago....someone must have given them hell for it.

Business as usual on the 'bay. Cool old Kamaka paperwork, but that's obviously a frankenuke.

Aloha Janeray1940,
Don't think it even resembles a Kamaka in any way...not even close....well maybe the papers are vintage original..ha ha..

So a bent top is indicative of being from the 1940's???
Good thing I am from the '50's.

BWAAA-HAAAA - "bridge looks like it 'may' have had some work done!"

Not just the bridge - also the neck join - apparently, filling the gap with what looks to be clear silicon RTV is just as good as resetting it. I wonder what the action is like on that baby? Could you slip one pack of cigarettes between the string and 14th fret, or two? LOL

Belly dip and braces visible everywhere so needs hydration; frets set directly in neck plus flat head screws in tuners means likely late 30s-late 40s. Bridge looks like they stuck it back on with Gorilla Glue. Neck kinda looks koa-ish. Pretty deep body. It probably sounded nice when it was new and had its own neck. :(
