Coming to Old Town in Lansing on May 14th:

Elderly Instruments is proud and excited to be a supporter of "Mighty Uke Day" on Saturday May 14 in Old Town Lansing! "Mighty Uke" is an acclaimed and award winning documentary about the instrument of the 21st Century; the ukulele. This is a stop on the Mighty Uke Roadshow that has been selling out venues and entertaining audiences across the country. Hosting the showings will be "Mighty Uke" director Tony Coleman.

In addition to the film there will be a concert featuring the Fabulous Heftones, uke group performances and strums, a meeting of the Lansing Area Ukulele Group (L.A.U.G.H.), open mic/jam sessions, commentary by the director, and much more. BRING YOUR UKE to play along after the movie! Elderly Instruments will be providing free beginning uke lessons and will have special prices on many of our ukuleles and related merchandise. Tickets for the movie are $10 and available online at http://www.brownpapertickets.com/event/173674 and at Elderly Instruments. All other events are free. We suggest you get your tickets early.

I'll be there as well. Representing UU as usual.

I posted this a day or 2 ago, but I guess I should've posted the info here since more people look at this section instead of in the "get togethers".

Hopefully it's gonna be a nice day for traveling up there.
