I have done one build already, and just did a semi gloss clear coat. I didnt tape up the fretboard as well as I could have I learned... but there were a couple easy fixes to get the finish off the fretboard.

Now, however, I have been requested to make a hot pink ukulele... So, my question is are there any tips, tricks, ect, that I need to know to ensure that I get not only the fretboard covered, but done in a way I wont have to do too much touch up on this guy?

Any advice would be great!

I use the 3M green masking tape as it has a good smooth edge and is about 1/2 the price of the blue version. At least in Australia. You just need to carefully mask along the edge of the fret board and take care not to stretch the tape too much as you go along, and really push it tight up against each of the frets with your thumb nail. No real trick to it, just care and practice.
