I found this uke on ebay with this setting:

Scale Length: 13.63"
Nut Width 1.375"
Tuners: Grover 14:1 ukulele
Strings: Worth koa brown, high G
Overall Length, Width, Depth: 22." x 7.50" x 2.63"
Nut & Saddle: Micarta, Pinned Nut
Top Wood: Mahogany
Back & Side Wood: Mahogany
Finger Board: Rock Maple
Neck: Mahogany
Finish: Satin TruOil

Price: $475

Does anyone know the sound of mahogany soprano Boat Paddle? I don`t found any review...
I only know the reputation of their tenors ... and with other woods....
It could has a mellow sound, because of the depth of the sounding board? loud?

I've got a boat paddle soprano. I love it. Excellent instrument. Quality build. Very nice, very uniform sound across the string. I'll try to make a sound sample later.
Mine's a walnut with spruce top, so it will sound a bit different.

That's a good price, too.

Here is a sound sample of my Boat Paddle Soprano, Walnut and Spruce top with Worth clears.

I imagine the mahogany top will be warmer, but less loud.

Thanks for the sound sample. Sounds just like my Ohana sk38 actually! Very cool.

Thanks Doc_J !
really great sound. Uniform sound in the scale is a great thing in a soprano.
Maybe I will purchase one on ebay.
Thanks again!

Ohana sk38 have this sound? great uke!

You are welcome! Hope it helped.

I think Martin sopranos and those ukes modeled after it (like the Ohana sk-38) are a bit more 'plinky'.

I have had an old Martin soprano and a Martin reproduction. To me, they sound quite a bit different. Maybe my recording is not so good.

Ken Middleton has a great review of the SK-38. http://www.youtube.com/user/KenMiddletonUkulele#p/search/3/l5RfUuj3Xmc
