But yes you are absolutely correct. I did not use a bottleneck. I don't think
the nylon strings on the Makala could have taken it, and I found that sliding
and barring with my fingers was sufficient. Perhaps I should have referred
to open tuning rather than slide since they are not synonymous.
For something more to your taste and a K.C. Douglas version to boot you
might like to listen to the version by FloydBluetheReal.
Excellent! I play slide on some of my ukueles and
use a glass slide (made for guitar!) and it has no
harmful effects on either strings or instrument,as
you are only 'kissing' the strings with it! Keep it up!
