Greetings from not the UK.

I thought I'd step in for Joey today with a song randomly selected from Jim & Liz Beloff's Daily Ukulele Songbook, so here goes:

The song is from the 70s. but it sounds like one of those Tin Pan Alley songs written just for the ukulele. Have fun!

The song was a hit in 1972 for an English musician named Hurricane Smith. I wanted to post that version of the song because it's the one people would remember, but I decided to post this clip instead of Smith performing the song live on the Tonight Show with Doc Severinson and the Tonight Show Band. With so many musicians lip-synching their way through television perfomances of their hits, I thought Smith deserved props for performing live.
