This week and next were the days when Pete Howlett was planning to tour the US on a Ukulele Extreme Building Course. Tough economic times, interested parties unwilling to commit early, and general apathy resulted in the US course cancellation.
That's all fine. I'm bummed out, but plans and reality don't always come together.
So while my West Hills Wood shop will be doing regular business instead of building instruments this week, I might switch the iPod over to uke tunes to remind myself of an opportunity lost.
I suppose it's possible that another US Ukulele Extreme Building tour could be placed on the calendar. Again, it depends on many factors. The point being, if you really have an interest in learning from a master builder then let them know. Pete is a regular on this forum and there are several other luthiers who may be willing to personally assist you with your learning curve.
When they step up from (or out of) their hovels, that's our cue to respond.
