I got myself a new Ohana SK-38 from Mike at Uke Republic. I've had this for over a week now...just now getting around to posting some pics. This is one sweet ukulele. The tone is real close to that of my 1930s Favilla. Ohana has done an outstanding job of capturing that vintage sound in a modern uke...I can only imagine how it will sound once it has a chance to really open up.

Happy New Uke Day! Looks like a beauty!

Love the vintage look. Enjoy your uke and have a wonderful NEW UKE DAY! :D

Yes, I really like the SK-38. Picked up a used one last week from Mouthy1. Very nice uke. I think it sounds better than some original Martins.

In fact, I have a short sound comparison.
Sorry but not done on same equipment. I no longer have that Martin-0.

Can you guess which is the Martin-O and the SK-38?

Those were awfully close. I had to go back and listen with the headphones on. I'm gonna say Sample 1 was the Martin and Sample 2 was the Ohana.
