I just ordered a concert from them. Not sure when I'll get it though. I'm gone until July 8th so the wait is okay for me.

Of the ukes you listed, Kala is the one I would go with.

For $189 I'd use this Ohana CK25 all solid mahogany as a benchmark for how much you can get in this price range....some more, some less.

I love both Ohana and Mainland. Can't go wrong with either.

I'll throw in my vote for Mainland too. Just bought one of their concerts last month and I love it. Really fantastic craftmanship.

Just wondering how buying from Mainland works. I sent a couple of emails and got some questions answered very promptly so I ordered a concert uke and gig bag. Their webpage says the ukes will be available sometime in July. I did pay via Paypal just so I could get on a waiting list if there is one. I have another uke to play and we are leaving on a trip until July 8th so it's not a big deal for me to wait. Just wondering how things work from here on.

In response to my email, Mike at Mainland, said he is unable to say when they will ship my order. I'm pretty sure they are waiting to get some more into inventory for sale.

I just ordered a Mainland Concert Mahogany from Uke Republic yesterday. It was on sale and Mike told me he'd get it in a few days since he didn't have the glossy finish and MOP silver geared tuners I wanted on hand. I was surprised since I know Mainland is showing them out of stock but I'm happy that I won't have a long wait. I'm thrilled it will be here soon.

theres a koa uluru on ebay that looks pretty nice. I can't imagine people are going to fight over it as it is largely an unknown brand but ukeeku did a good review of them.
